Fuzzy-Based Distributed Protocol for Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication

چکیده
This article models the multihop data-routing in vehicular ad-hoc networks as multiple criteria decision making (MCDM) four steps. First, that have impact on performance of network layer are captured and transformed into fuzzy sets. Second, sets characterized by membership functions (FMFs), which interpolated (curve fitting) based data collected from massive experimental simulations. Third, analytical hierarchy process (AHP) is exploited to identify relationships among criteria. Fourth, rules determined Takagi-Sugeno-Kang (TSK) inference system employed infer aggregate final forwarding decision. Through integrating techniques MCDM, FMF, AHP, TSK, we design a distributed opportunistic routing protocol, namely, environment router targets vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communication runs two main processes-road segment selection (RSS) relay vehicle (RVS). RSS intended select successive junctions through packets should travel source destination, while RVS vehicles within selected road segment. The results show our protocol performs scales well with both size density, considering combined problem end-to-end packet delivery ratio latency.

HIPERLAN/2 for vehicle-to-vehicle communication
The objective of the IST project MIND is to facilitate IP-based broadband services for mobile users in various operating environments. Activities within MIND concentrate on the development, optimisation and harmonisation of the appropriate layers involved. The physical (PHY) layer was chosen to base on the High Performance Radio Local Area Network type 2 standard (HiperLAN2). The work presented...
متن کاملVehicle-to-vehicle communication for AVCS platooning
Vehicle-to-vehicle radio links suffer from power variations, multipath fading and associated Doppler spreading in frequency, as well as interference form other vehicles. These effects are investigated in the context of an Automated Vehicle Control Systems (AVCS) employing vehicle platoons. A statistical model for the channel is considered and the performance of the network involving many links ...
متن کاملSecure Protocol For Inter-Vehicle Communication Networks
Security is the main concern in wireless communications. Future vehicles may use wireless Inter-Vehicle Communication (IVC) networks to exchange data among each other. IVC networks provide drivers with updated information on traffic and road conditions for efficient and safe driving. The main challenges in designing secure IVC networks are vehicle authentication and data integrity. Vehicle auth...

In this paper, we propose an approach to vehicle collision-avoidance system by broadcasting vehicles’ driving conditions via Inter-Vehicle Communication (IVC) networks. We study the use of Elimination Yield Nonpreemptive Priority Multiple Access (EY-NPMA) Medium Access Control (MAC) protocol. This protocol is used in the High Performance Radio LAN (HIPERLAN) system being developed in Europe. In...
